Apple tends to offer its users the best of all products. They intend to keep users hooked for as long as possible. They do this by releasing new features with each update. Some of these features may just be there. You can see when these features were added. However, there are some features that you won’t know unless you dig deeper. For iOS 15, here are some of those hidden features.
This is to get the most out of iOS 15 and everything the company offers. No matter how passionate you are about iPhone users, you can greatly appreciate this information. However, let’s take a closer look at these hidden features.
1. Bringing The Safari Address Bar Back To The Top
In the latest iOS version, the Safari address bar has been moved to the bottom of the browser. This is very accessible and convenient for many users, but many may prefer the old location in the address bar. If you’re using Safari, pressing the “Aa” key will highlight the option to show the address bar at the top. Click on it to see the old location.
2. iOS 15 and Translating Text Anywhere
Instead of using translation app, iOS 15 has brought another hidden feature. You can now translate texts from anywhere. Just highlight it and select additional options. This will give you translation options that can be translated into 11 languages. That’s not that many at the moment, but Apple will certainly add more over time.
3. Scanning Text From Camera
Instead of taking pictures or writing down information, iPhone cameras can now scan text through this genius iOS 15 feature. Simply tap and hold any text field to see the option to “scan text”. Press to move to the camera and align the text according to your camera’s needs. The text is then digitally copied to your mobile phone.
4. Drag and Drop Between Apps On iOS 15.
This feature used to be on the iPad, but is now on the iPhone. You can now easily drag and drop documents and photos from one application to another. This is a very neat and simple feature and you should give it a try. Place your finger on the item you want to drag and drop to see it float between the applications.
5. Additional Photo Information
You can now view additional photo information like before. In addition to the time stamp, the photo can now display the shutter speed, location, and the camera used to take the photo. All available by swiping up on the image
6. Sending ICloud Data In Case Of Death
iCloud data can now be sent to other people in case of your death. There is a legacy feature on the iPhone in iOS 15 which can enable you to add certain loved ones to it. Once they have been added, all your data can be accessed by them upon your death. It is quite a neat feature and must be checked out. Of course, one cannot exactly explore it beyond a certain place.
