The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Ramiz Raja, plans to suggest a four-nation tournament that includes India at the ICC Board Meeting, but the BCCI does not seem to be interested.
According to ICC’s present rules, a tri-nation tournament may only be conducted by a member board, as the sole multinational corporation has the right to organize an event with more than three nations.
Ramiz’s “White Paper” suggested that the ICC should organize the tournament annually, with an expected income for the corporation of $750 million from media agreements as well as other business services.
According to PCB, the series should take place every year in September and October, with all four nations hosting on a rotating basis. In spite of India’s disapproval, other nations have yet to weigh in on the proposal.
The initiative incorporates England and Australia as the team members, if it gets authorized, would be seeing the Asian Neighbors, perform on the top level on a yearly basis.
