KARACHI: In a notification filed with the department of services, general administration, and coordination, the Sindh government has declared a public holiday on the occasion of Pakistan Day – March 23.
“The Government of Sindh declares 23 March 2022, as a public holiday on the occasion of ‘Pakistan Day’ throughout the province, except essential services and those engaged in prevention and control of COVID-19 emergency,” the notification said.
Pakistan was created within seven years of its adoption on August 14, 1947 through the “Lahore Resolution,” which was passed on March 23, 1940.
The youth, every year, decorate their vehicles, motorcycles, cars and motorbikes while residents adorn their houses, bazaars and markets with flags and lights to express their love for the country.
