Naila Kiani is an extraordinary woman of substance who needs no introduction. That same year, she climbed the peak of the 8,080-metre Gasherbrum I, which is the 11th-highest mountain in the world. In April 2023, Kiani became the first Pakistani woman to scale the world’s 10th highest mountain in Nepal, the Annapurna, which sits at 8,091 metres. If that wasn’t all, Kiani gained international recognition for becoming the second Pakistani woman to climb the 8,848-metre-high Mt. Everest this May. She didn’t stop there. Later this month, Kiani became the first Pakistani woman to successfully climb the 8,516-metre Mount Lhotse, regarded as the 4th highest peak in the world.
