After a hiatus of four years, Hamza Ali Abbasi is preparing to return to television with a new drama called “Jaan-e-Jahan.”
Hamza Ali Abbasi, who had announced his departure from the entertainment industry following a spiritual awakening, has now returned to television.
On Instagram, the actor shared a teaser for his upcoming drama and wrote, “Happy to introduce you to the captivating world of our upcoming project ‘Jaan-e-Jahan’.”
The drama’s teaser features the vocals of Humayun Saeed, adding to its appeal. The drama, titled “Jaan-e-Jahan,” is produced by renowned producers Samina Humayun Saeed and Sana Shahnawaz under the Next Level Entertainment Productions banner. The drama’s story is penned by Rida Bilal.
The drama “Jaan-e-Jahan” will be directed by Qasim Ali Mureed. According to sources, the female lead for the drama has not been announced yet.
Hamza Ali Abbasi’s last appearance was in the movie “The Legend of Maula Jatt,” which was released in October 2022. The movie created history in Pakistan by becoming the first film to earn 100 crores domestically in January 2023. Along with Abbasi, the movie stars Fawad Khan and Mahira.
In a previous interview, Abbasi had discussed his role in a film that was seen as a game-changer and a savior for Pakistani cinema. He also talked about the difficulties he encountered in portraying the savage character of Noori Natt.
“It takes a lot of guts to handle the kind of pressure that comes with such projects but you eventually get the courage to deal with it,” Abbasi had said.
