Karachi Eat 2023 milestone with several innovations

Karachi’s premium food festival continued at Clifton Beach View Park this year with 125 food partners. Aging to the double figure this year celebrating their 10 years Karachi Eat Festival truly embraced their outfit and brought some remarkable introductions to their event and that too beyond amazing food. Karachi Eat has always been a love of locals and especially for those who love to experiment with their taste buds with budding entrepreneurs.

From desi delicacies of chapli-kabab to Khao Dosa’s traditional Memon thali with Khao Suey and Dosa to Khawsa House’s specialty ticks all the boxes to hit the right culinary spots. The rich curry with tomato-based chicken and al dente pasta made the dish a banger. Did someone say it was cold? Mumbai wala’s smoking Matka chai had you covered for that. Running out of spice, who can beat the famous Arif Chatkhara’s tawa chicken all the way from Lahore. There were a lot of options for Desi food as well as other cuisines.

But the thing which excites us the most is the festival’s online version. Which according to some is claimed to be the largest online food festival of its kind on the Asian belt. It is for the first time that those who would want to order anything from the festival from home can do so, too. ‘Eat Cloud powered by Panda kitchens’, the largest cloud kitchens in the country, have teamed up with Foodpanda for this. All you need to do is click on an icon dedicated to Eat Food Pakistan on the Foodpanda app. Now this changed the whole thing!!! Giving those entrepreneurs and extra benefits to get successful beyond just the festival. All praise for Eat’s official and foodpanda to come up with this innovative experiment.

How can we miss the music? Yes! Just like Eat Festival’s every year ritual, this year too, A grand stage had been set for the performances, and people could enjoy the music while eating their favorite food to double the fun as it had music performances from popular singers such as Asim Azhar and Young Stunners. With the touch of our very own ‘Kana Yari’ boy Kaifi Khalil to present his all-time favorite ‘Kahani Suno’. Furthermore, the famous boys ‘Khudgarz’ also entertained the attendees in their classic style surrounded by the audience at the food stall keeping the audience engaged.

Another addition this time took Karachi Eat a notch up is making the festival inclusive to all. The facility of providing wheelchairs for differently-abled foodies to join and enjoy with everyone. For this, the Eat Food Festival has partnered with NOWPDP, which has also made sign language accessible here.

On the last day of Karachi Eat’s 10th installment, a few of the attendees shared some unfortunate incidents by outsiders. Gate crashes, forceful entries and such unethical acts are part of larger events. However, there were learnings from the on-ground installation for better security that can help Eat Festival’s team plan their next show.
