A number of United Bank Limited customers have recently been unaware that bank transfers, bill payments, and online purchases were delivered without their consent.
Scores of customers of one of Pakistan’s largest banks have complained that they have lost money in the last few days due to a technical fault with the bank’s services.
One possible cause is the hacking of debit cards, which is done by hijacking ATM machines. Information on debit cards on the machine is duplicated when they are inserted into the machine. In addition to stealing the cards’ pins, key loggers are also used to use the cards online.
Furthermore, the bank’s employees informed the dissatisfied customers that the bank is working hard to resolve its service problems.
Customers further stated that their cards had been temporarily disabled.
Many customers took to Twitter and other social media sites to express their dissatisfaction over the issue.
I’ve not received any update from them as of yet. And the customer representative at the bank dismissed my concern by saying that she also has UBL but it has never happened with her! I’ve filed for dispute. It’s been a week, I’ll probably follow up soon. You should do the same

As per reliable sources, UBL’s data was stolen, allowing these transactions to take place. However, these claims were not independently verified.
