Due to its attractive value for money, Changan Alsvin has become a favorite among Pakistani car buyers. Dealerships have temporarily suspended bookings for all variants of Alsvin because of its popularity.
The subsequent wave of car pricing increases and booking suspensions has led to Changan implementing something that is similar to Alsvin’s. The price increase is not the subject of the discussion, we had it a week ago, the topic is Alsvin’s allocation status.
As a direct competitor to Honda City and Toyota Yaris, Master Changan Motors Limited (MCML) unveiled Alsvin in January 2022. The Lumiere 1.5 DCT is available in three variants: Standard 1.3 Manual, Standard 1.5 DCT, and Lumiere 1.5 DCT.
Two powertrain options are available for Asvin. Natural aspiration powers the base trim’s 1.37-liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine, which generates 95 horsepower (hp) and 135 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque, and it’s mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
It comes with a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine that makes 105 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque. It is connected to a 5-speed DCT automatic transmission at the front wheels.
Changan Alsvin’s popularity stems from the fact that it offers a good value for money to car buyers. As a result of too many people buying Alsvin, the dealers have ceased taking orders for all variants of the product.
According to many dealerships, all of Alsvin’s vehicles were sold, and new orders would be taken in the month of May 2022, a period that, according to them, has already been extended from 45-75 days.
