WhatsApp rolling out new updates for Beta testers on Android

WhatsApp started releasing a new interface for making voice calls. The latest release is made specifically for some Android beta testers. It also signals for group voice calls. In addition to the new beta, which includes an improved voice calling interface, WhatsApp has also been shown to be working on a new screen to respond to users about blocked accounts. It seems to dynamically adjust the color palette based on the theme the user has chosen.

WhatsApp beta tracker WABetaInfo reports that WhatsApp for Android 2.22.5.4 beta has provided some users with an updated voice calling experience. Some users may also see changes in WhatsApp for Android 2.22.5.3 beta.

WABetaInfo also noticed that the interface brings a waveform when making group voice calls. These audible alerts are displayed to all participants to notify you of an active speaker during a call.

Alongside the latest change for beta users, WABetaInfo has separately reported that WhatsApp is working on the screen that would respond users about the status of their ban review requests. The screen appears to be meant to support the dark theme.
