When someone captures a user’s chats on Facebook Messenger, the user will be notified.

This alarm mechanism was previously only available when someone took a screenshot in “Vanish Mode,” but the firm is now expanding it to all end-to-end encrypted talks.

“We think it’s crucial that you be able to utilise encrypted chats and feel safe,” Facebook Messenger parent Meta writes in a post. “Therefore, we want to keep you notified if someone takes screenshots of your vanishing messages.”

Meta is also launching a slew of new features, including end-to-end encrypted group chats and Messenger Calls.

Reactions are coming to Facebook Messenger, allowing users to respond to messages using emoticons. The emoji tray may be accessed with a long tap, and users can “love” a message with a double tap.

The feature is now available on Instagram Direct Messages and is expected to be available on WhatsApp later this year.

Facebook Messenger will also allow users to respond to particular messages. To use the feature on the app, users can either long-press the message and pick a reply on swipe, or long-press the message and select a reply on long-press. The identical feature is already accessible on WhatsApp and Instagram, both of which are owned by Meta.
